Basic Order of Construction

With some variation, depending on jobsite and weather conditions, the following is a list of the basic order of construction:

	Lot excavated and graded (if applicable)
	Trenching & forming completed and footings poured
	Stem-walls and floor poured (if applicable)
	Foundation and garage slab poured
	Rough carpentry construction - framing of home
	Roofing materials and tile/shingle-type installed
	Siding installed
	Mechanical rough-in completed (heating, plumbing and electrical)
	Insulation installed
	Drywall installed, taped and textured
	Millwork delivered - painting and staining begins
	Finished carpentry - installation of wood flooring, stair railings, floor trim-board, cabinets, window and door trim, and all finish millwork
	Countertops installed
	Ceramic tile installed
	Built-in appliances installed
	Lighting fixtures installed
	Heating/cooling, plumbing and electrical completed
	Remaining custom flooring and custom built-in's installed
	Appliances that are not built-in are delivered and installed
	Finishing touches completed
	Owner occupancy scheduled

Once we arrive at the scheduling of occupancy, Bennett Builders will conduct a thorough walk-through inspection with you to ensure that all of your expectations have been met, and everything specified in your construction contracts are included in the home. We will answer any questions you may have and show you how to operate all of your appliances, and then give you the keys to your new home.
