The spec house on Alihilani Street in Kona Highlands is a 1,200 square foot home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was intended to be an affordable home in Hawaii's competitive real-estate market, yet was ment to have such features as granite countertops, a two-car carport, a opened up downstairs, and a patio with a gorgeous view of the ocean which would usually be found in more expensive homes. The home ended up costing around $600,000 to build which is considerably cheap considering all the perks it comes with.
